STUART ROTHMAN, Ph.D.

Following a successful career teaching elementary grades within the New York City School system, Dr. Rothman completed his graduate studies in School and Community Psychology at Hofstra University, receiving his Ph.D. in 1978. Subsequently, he served on the staff of the Neuropsychology section within the Department of Neurology at North Shore University Hospital. During this time, Dr. Rothman also served as a consultant to the Preschool Development Program, a special education preschool dedicated to meeting the needs of language-impaired students, as well as to the BOCES preschool program, a special education program dedicated to meeting the needs of students with multiple disabilities. In 1979, Dr. Rothman, together with his partner, Herman M. Davidovicz, Ph.D., established Long Island Neuropsychological Consultants as a private agency to provide neuropsychological evaluation services for a diverse population ranging in age from preschool through adulthood. Since 1981, Dr. Rothman has served as full-time director of Long Island Neuropsychological Consultants, where his specialization includes performing diagnostic neuropsychological evaluations, formulating effective educational and therapeutic intervention strategies, consulting with varied medical professionals, and providing forensic consultation.
